Hanoi is proposing that the Government approve the guidelines for seven urban railways urban projects. Recently, Vision Transportation Group (VTG) proposed adding a completely new railway linking West Lake with Noi Bai Airport.

Accordingly, VTG has conducted research and proposals with the city of Hanoi, the Government, relevant ministries to implement the project of urban railway No. 2 connecting Noi Bai airport with the West Lake in the form of public-private partnership (PPP).
Mr Courey said VTG’s research shows that this will be a viable urban railroad in terms of technology and return on investment, ensuring the benefits for investors and the city.
The Group has also provided preliminary reports on ideas, methods, technology, investment progress and some proposals related to the feasibility of the project.
